Robotsread is a free, stateless diagnostic tool for checking whether a URL is permitted to be indexed by search crawlers. These terms govern your use of the service at robotsread.com (the "Service").

By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Use of Service

Robotsread accepts a single URL, fetches that page and its origin's /robots.txt, reconciles all four indexability signals (robots.txt Disallow, meta robots, X-Robots-Tag, canonical), and reports a single verdict naming the rule that blocks indexing (if any).

The Service fetches only the URL you submit and that origin's robots.txt. It does not crawl the site, follow links, or enumerate paths.
The Service does not store, log, or share submitted URLs or their contents.
The verdict is a reading of the signals as served at the moment of fetch. It is not a prediction of any search engine's actual ranking or indexing behaviour.
You may not use the Service for automated, bulk, or high-frequency requests. Rate limits apply to protect both the tool and the servers it queries.

Billing

Robotsread is free. There is no charge for using the Service, and no account, registration, or payment information is required.

What you are buying

You are not buying anything. The Service is provided at no cost. Each check fetches a single URL and returns an indexability verdict. All features are available to every user, every time. There are no paid tiers, subscriptions, or one-time purchases.

Price

£0.00 — the Service is free to use.

Billing period

There is no billing period. No recurring charges apply. The Service has no subscription model.

Failed payments

Not applicable. No payment information is collected or processed. No payment processor is connected to this Service.

Refund policy

Not applicable. Nothing is charged, so no refunds are necessary. If you encounter any issue with the Service, you may stop using it at any time.

Payment status: No payment processor is currently connected to this Service. In the future, a paid tier may be introduced. If and when that happens, this section will be updated to reflect the applicable pricing, billing terms, and payment processor before any charges are introduced.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. Robotsread is a diagnostic aid — it reports what the HTTP response and robots.txt say at a point in time. The operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use, inability to use, or reliance on the Service's output.
